Inaugural Event!

What: Library Drink Resolvers

When: January 28th - 6:30pm

Where: Pyramid Brewery Alehouse (Seattle, by the ballparks)

Why: Library Drink Resolvers (LDR) is a social group for all librarians, information professionals & library school students in the Puget Sound area. Will we resolve to drink or drink to resolve? Join this monthly informal gathering and help us decide...

Can you come? Will you help? We'd like this to have people from various library types but we're starting from the academic library circle so we need some help promoting elsewhere. Please forward to anyone you think might be interested. We're also going to send out info to some listservs. The plan is for this to be a monthly meet-up. It's meant to be a "puget sound" group so the location will travel around and not just be Seattle-based.

Here's our Facebook page for the group.

How it all began....

This fall at the ACRL WA/OR conference, someone at my lunch table brought up the idea of starting a Seattle version of Portland's Interlibrary Lush. I volunteered to initiate such a group. Mary Sepulveda (Seattle University colleague) came up with the great name, Library Drink Resolvers.

The following are early co-conspirators:
Sue Gallaway - Centralia College
Kristen Shuyler - Seattle University
Lynn Kanne - Seattle Central Community College
Jan Hartley - Seattle University
and myself, Lynn Olson Deeken - Seattle University

We see this as an informal social gathering for all types of librarians, information professionals and library school students.
